June Halosydne Newsletter: Transform Your Passion Projects into Success Stories

June 2024

It's no secret, therapists are full of creative ideas!

Starting a project is easy, but finishing it...

That's a different story.

Balancing client sessions, administrative tasks, and personal life often means those passion projects get pushed to the back burner.

Just like you, I’ve had my fair share of half-finished projects cluttering my desk. Sticky notes and random Google docs galore! But with the right planning and support, we can turn those ambitious dreams into reality.

This month, I'm dedicated to helping you bring those projects to fruition. Whether it's launching a new workshop, publishing digital products, or developing a new online course, effective project management can make all the difference.

Success story time! (Could you be next?)

I recently began working with a therapist who was eager to launch her own mailing list but felt overwhelmed by the process. Together, we crafted a detailed strategy and broke the project down into manageable steps. Starting with a few enticing lead magnets geared both towards her ideal clients and ideal referral connections, we were able to begin establishing her authority in the field with resources actually valuable to her community. This paired with some strategic networking and online content, within just a few months, her subscriber count skyrocketed, bringing an influx of new clients and valuable connections to her practice. This success story is a testament to the power of a well-executed project, and I'm excited to help you achieve similar results!

So what's the scoop this month?

Inside, you’ll find an exclusive mini blog just for our subscribers, offering step-by-step guidance on launching a new workshop.

How to Launch Your Own Webinar

Thinking about sharing your knowledge and connecting with more people? Launching your own webinar is a fantastic way to do just that. It’s a great way to educate, engage, and build a community. Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to get you started.

  1. Pick Your Topic First things first, choose a topic that your audience cares about and that you’re passionate about. Maybe it’s “Managing Anxiety in Tough Times” or “Effective Communication for Couples.” Go with something that resonates with you and your clients.
  2. Set Your Goals and Know Your Audience What do you want to achieve with this webinar? Do you want to attract new clients, establish yourself as an expert, or just share some valuable info? Knowing your goals will help you plan your content and promotion strategy.
  3. Choose Your Platform There are a bunch of platforms out there like Zoom, WebinarJam, GoToWebinar, and Microsoft Teams. Pick one that fits your needs—think about how many people you expect, whether you want to record it, and if you need features like polls and Q&A.
  4. Plan Your Content Outline your webinar so it flows well. Start with a warm welcome, dive into your main content, and wrap up with a Q&A session. Use visuals, slides, and real-life examples to keep things interesting. Aim for 45-60 minutes to keep everyone engaged.
  5. Schedule It Pick a date and time that works for your audience. Think about different time zones if your audience is spread out. Weekday evenings or weekends usually work best.
  6. Promote It Spread the word! Use your email list, social media, and your website to let people know about your webinar. Create eye-catching graphics and compelling messages to highlight why they should attend. Collaborate with other professionals if you can to reach more people.
  7. Get Registrations Set up a registration process to collect attendee info. This can be done through your webinar platform or a service like Eventbrite. Getting their emails means you can send reminders and follow-up materials.
  8. Practice Run through your webinar a few times to make sure everything goes smoothly. Test your equipment, check your internet, and get comfortable with the platform’s features. Rehearsing will make you feel more confident and help avoid any tech glitches.
  9. Engage Your Audience During the webinar, make sure to interact with your audience. Use polls, ask questions, and encourage participation. Be responsive during the Q&A session.
  10. Follow Up After the webinar, send a thank-you email to everyone who attended. Include a recording of the webinar, some extra resources, and a feedback form. This helps keep the connection going and gives you valuable insights.
  11. Reflect and Improve Look at the feedback and analytics from your webinar. Think about what went well and what could be better next time. Use this info to make your future webinars even better.

Launching your own webinar can be really rewarding. It’s a great way to reach new clients and showcase your expertise. Start planning today and take the first step towards expanding your impact as a therapist.
